Nice shots, you can see how it froths and boils. I've been under wall clouds before. It's an unnerving experience. Different from just any ol' cloud and not really the place to be standing (or driving)!!
Saw the funnel photo on Perth Weather Live. Interesting. I couldn't tell the difference between a funnel/scud off a photo to be honest, but someone mentioned rotation on the radar, which means it must've been a confirmed funnel. It's probably not that there are more of them appearing, it's that every man and his dog
has a camera phone and social media and twitter, so there are more confirmed reports of them.
My area apparently got a lot of rain on ... Sunday night ... I think it was? Losing track of the day. Got woken by a gigantic thunderclap and some rain but the rain didn't seem like the downpour it apparently was.
And whadya mean chilly (unless you're inland or south)?! It was beautiful this morning!
